I coudn't resist not putting a little spice on the butts (3).

I coated them in coarse ground sea salt and enough cayenne pepper to choke a horse, but just had to add in a little John Henry's Hickory garlic rub.

I'm going to bed now.......BGE is sitting at 208 and has been for over an hour, while me and my padna polished off a bottle of Cabernet (after a case of Lone Star Light). I'll check it again on the way out to the field tomorrow (6:00). I took a before piure while the smoke was bellowing in the moonlight, I'll post up later.

Well, it's like I told you -- you got to experiment with it. That garlic rub does sound good.

Can't wait to see the smoke in the full moonlight. You should be pulling them in a couple of hours, so make sure you get some good pics then, too.
