In SW VA there are two lakes fairly close to each other. Claytor Lake and Smith Mountain Lake.
The game department has had to cease fish shocking operations in the upper end of Claytor Lake because people in the trailer park along the lake keep shooting at the biologists for "stealing their fish to give to dem rich folks over on Smith Mountain."
Probably the same guys that attempted to car jack a trout stocking truck a few years back.
