 Re: CARP
Best bet is to take them to the local black neighborhood and sell them and eat something else. Heard that you could can carp and then make patties like salmon and it was good but I have never eaten any myself
I was told you can eat bowfin (grinnel, willow bass, shoe-pik) but only when t was hot because once it cools off it is like chewing cotton balls
Gar is supposed to be good if you mix it with some other stuff and fry it kinda lik hushpuppies, called it gar balls. Gar eggs are poisonous from what I understand.

 Re: CARP
I've eaten gator gar and it's great -especially if you're camping and hungry lol. Seriously though, it was pretty good. Same deal as Grennel though -got to eat it while it's hot. I've heard long nose and needle nose gar are even better

 Re: CARP
We used to take the carp and goo down to the quarters and trade them for....we never mind I was a lot yonger then.
Some one did give me this recipe for carp.
Cover the fish with cajun seasoning, onions, garlic, lemon, more seasoning, soy sauce, and just a dash of liquid smoke. Place the fish and all the fixings on a cedar board. Place the board and the fish in an oven pre-heated to 450 degrees. Let it bake for 35 minutes. After 35 minutes take it out of the oven still on the board. Scrape all that stuff off the board and eat the board.
Let me know how that turns out, I've never tried it.

 Re: CARP
As mentioned carp and buffalo are different. If you have a buffalo cut the rib cage out and then cut into two bone pieces. Slap your momma good. I eat and sell a lot of them.
