My old man use to make this years ago, before he got into making wine. Don't remember his recipe, but his was so good you could taste the crust. |

I made two batches from the recipe because I didn't have my big pot. So I split the recipe in half and made two. I snuck a taste before putting them in the fridge and think it's gonna turn out great. Not too sweet as I cut back a little on the amount of sugar I added. |

Question: when y'all make a batch, does the sugar settle out to the bottom after being in the fridge? Do you just shake up before drinking? |

I'm gonna bring this thread back to life. I finally decided to make a batch for the first time today. Took the basics from a few recipes and added my own twist. I substituted most if the brown sugar for honey and added some other spices. Caught a buzz sampling while I was pouring it up! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk |

I need to make some more.. I have a little family recipe but the old fella I used to get shine from is no longer with us.. Does the ever clear taste the same in it? Moonshine is naturally a little sweeter than ever clear so I was wondering if it changed the taste? |

Man I can't honestly say. Its not bitter by any means and its not terribly sweet, I think that is due to the honey. It has a generous after bite that sort of tingles your tongue. I'm pleased. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk |

How long does it keep? Do you have to refrigerate it? |

Also, another thing to add that makes it taste really good is about 2-2.5 cups of captain morgan.. I basically use the same recipe as the op but add a little morgan and it really makes the cinnamon spice taste pop. |

I keep a jar at home and at the camp. Never know when the mood to get blistered will strike. Don't take much of that stuff. |
