Post subject:  Fishing
Me and my wife are trying to find a place to camp (tent) in southern La. We live in Texas and have an 18ft. with a LT. It will be for a short weekend trip. Friday and Sat night. Anyone have suggestions of a public camground in the marsh. We would like to fish for reds. Thanks Greg E

I think the Grand Isle State Park might have re-opened and also heard that Elmer's Island (right before Grand Isle) re-opened this week.

Guessing you want to stay closer to the TX border if possible. Sam Houston State park is in the Lake Charles area. Good fishing all around. Tenting is something i gave up many years ago though. I need a shower, bed and AC for my camping experience to be enjoyable now days. :lol: Course I do have to go there some time this month for a wilderness search and rescue training school with an overnight survival senario included. :roll: Bring plenty of off and thermocells.
