Took the wife as stated and did good, caught all of them just off some mud flats in a buddys pond. They were chasing mulllets and had lil'shrimp poppin all over the place.
My nieghbor has been out in Black bay for the past few weekends and said all the reds he catching out there are bulls.

I'm starting night shift tonight and I'll be busy for about two weeks, got all sorts of obligations but we'll see what comes up.I hear you about nickel lake I've been close to it with my boat a couple of times hunting outside of Delacroix but not in it.

Capt I often fish Reggio.I can go on one side of the road and catch reds and bass.If you fish the other side you can catch reds and specks.Yesterday morning when I got back the guy at the launch was catching reds on live shrimp right under the bridge. In fall you can put limits of specks in the boat all on plastic with a ten to fifteen minute boat ride.

This is an often over looked spot, the bridge, during teal season I leave a pole in my truck and when I pick up the boat I go sit on a bucket and can often catch a limit of specks right there.i've seen several 5 pound plus bass caught there also.

I got in a duck lease last year with my buddy's in Delacroix south of Lake Lery. I've only hunted out there but I'm learning the area and want to start fishing there. By buddies have a houseboat right before that new launch and were catching fish close before they re-opened the diversion. Are there any places close to fish on the west side or do you need to run a little farther south because of the diversion?

Been trying to make a bowfishing trip out there but just haven't had time. We would need to find some clear water and I'm not sure how much the diverson muddies things up.

Wilson for the last couple of weeks they were destroying the specks in little lake and sun lagoon on live shrimp but I think that they have moved out now. That is not that far from the houseboat you all have.

The diversion will muddy things up alot on the Delacroix side but behind Reggio going towards Hopedale it will be clearer for what you need as far as bow fishing.Just do alot of scouting,I've got ponds that are clear and the bayous that look like chocolate milk. They have a little bit of everything there, two weeks ago we were catching bass, reds and small specks at the mouth of a small ditch on a falling tide on dead shrimp and plastic.
