Gotta love the truckers.

I missed getting a picture of the guy with "If you think I'm an Azzhole, you should meet my wife" on his shirt, but I did get this one...

Back in my biker days I used to have a shirt that read;

IF WE ARE WHAT WE EAT I COULD BE YOU IN THE MORNING.

The chicks dug it, my wife not so much......

Biker functions where a great place to pick up shirts with all kinds of sayings that would make your mom cry.

By the way Capt., how was your trip to Iowa?

The trip was a good time & good for business. This picture is from there.

Can't believe how small the MS River is up there.

I would love to get back up there to hunt. I'm sure that y'all get covered up in geese - unless they are spread out too far through all of the corn fields.

We ate dinner one night at the Boat House in Davenport, right on the banks of the river. Decent food, but a great view. I can't believe that city doesn't get flooded out 2 or 3 times a year. I also found some ducks & geese down at the Credit Island park, but I'm sure that it would be frowned upon to let loose the shotguns in there.

There have been times in the not to distant past when Mother Nature has had to remind Davenport who's still in charge.

Field hunting ducks & geese can be great at times. The problem is, from my experience anyway, the birds tend to use the same fields year after year. If you aren't lucky enough to have permission to those fields chances are someone else has had for several years. Running traffic on the birds from a field as close to their flight path as possible can work but it's pretty hit & miss.

If you ever do make it this way during season give me some notice, if I'm not on vacation I'll be sick 8-) . Oh and don't forget the Old New Orleans, I'd like to give it a try sometime.
