Post Big Green Egg's are expensive
So I've decided on a large egg. It sounds like the XL's have a few issues.

I opted to not buy a nest but rather build a cabinet, but now I need a better place for the cabinet so I am building a small deck for it. Might as well make it a small outdoor kitchen. This grill is getting expensive

Next you'll have to buy a farm, to raise the animals, to cook on the thing.

I now own one Large Big Green Egg, a place setter, a pizza stone, an electric starter, an ash tool, a grill grip, a new bronze brush and two bags of lump charcoal.

Hizzy you will have alot of joy with that BGE. Brats on mine today. Chuck burgers and chicken yesterday. I am cooking on mine nearly seven days a week. I also built a cabinet for mine. My wife actually built my table. It has the egg on one side and a propane cooker on the other. The cost will be lowered everytime you cook on it and not go out to eat. Randy

I'm doing the same thing with a dual burner setup. I actually bought a portable dual burner setup down at LaSalle's in New Iberia that has removable legs. I'm building the cabinet so that I can remove the legs and drop the burner into the cabinet

Could you fit a whole deer fawn in the XL BGE??

I'm looking for way to cook some fawns this year. I was thinking a big oil vat and deep fry it but slow cooking would be good too.

It's OK Hizzy I understand. Money must be tight after buyin da BGE and buildin its own deck and nest. When money gets right again I'm sure we'll see da out come of real food comming off that fancy green egg. Let me know if I can help. Money kind of tight for me too right now but I think I may be able to donate a chicken or two if needed.
