Yep - I make it all the time, too. Try it with ground deer meat as well. Just mix up your recipe like normal and use the egg as your oven -- if it says cook for 1 hour at 350, do just that with some hickory chunks mixed in your coals. If you let it set on the counter for about 30 minutes after cooking, all that smokey goodness will soak down into the loaf (like with the butts). Leftovers are even better. |

ahh yes, fatties on the egg will give you a whole new appreciation for sausage. Dang, Hizzy - you gonna make your neighbors mad by cooking all this pork. You might want to do a brisket, steaks, or at least burgers next to start to even the beef/pork keel. |

I cooked a homemade pizza in mine last night. Each member of my family makes their own type of pizza. I'm the only one who likes pizza with anchovies and hot peppers. I baked mine on the egg and they baked theirs in the oven. Mine had crusty cheese done to perfection. Theirs looked like it still needed more cooking and the cheese was rubbery. I am really sorry for not having pictures but my wifes real nice Cannon digital camera got stepped on by the kid[s] and no one knows nothing about the camera. Pork butts have been on sale here quite often and we have been stocking up and having alot of pulled pork on our plates. I have cooked alot of those fatties and thinking I need to cook some more.
