 On sale The boston butts were on sale at franks for $1.29/lb , so I made and stocked up on some smoked sausage.

Re: On sale I use hog casings for making fresh or smoked sausages , never really tried anything else to make them.

Re: On sale It just so happens that the butts went on sale last week at Rouse's for $.98 lb so I stocked up and made 33 lbs of boudin.

Re: On sale Cut up the meat threw it in the pot and cooked it till almost done then ground up the meat while I simmered the onions and peppers.
