Use mine all the time. Pretty much had to buy one last year with all of the goose hunting I did. It was a guarantee that I was freezing what I shot every day and wouldn't get to eating it for a couple months.

Spend a few extra dollars and get a good one.

I use mine regularly but I am rarely happy with the job it does. I think I have had four of them, two were given to me. The current one seals well but the vacuum is less than stellar. The first one got too hot and burned little pin holes along the seal so it let air back in. I wish I could afford a really good one because the food does last a lot longer when it works correctly. I am sure their are guys on here that can recommend some better quality ones.

I have the outdoorsman model. This is the second one I bought. First one had the electric press..... It wore out after 2 years. The outdoorsman is manual but seal better

I have the El Cheapo one for $70 and it works awesome. No issues with it at all. Only thing i wish it had was the little zipper to cut the bags with.

Look at Cabelas. They have a commercial grade one that looks good. It is pricey though. I've burned through 4 cheapo foodsavers and I'm on some other brand now. Next one will be one of the good ones. Mainly used for fish in my house and leftovers. You can take things like leftover pot roast, bbq, ect, freeze it in a bag and when you want to eat it again just toss the frozen bag in a pot of boiling water for 20 minutes.

I've used one for two years now. It was about $150 at Costco. I've done six deer, one cow with, and a bunch of waterfowl and fish and haven't had any issues. It does seem like the vacuum could be a little bit more powerful, and you have to go slow because of the tendency to overheat. But I definitely have gotten my moneys worth out of it.
