It's a sad, sad day when you find yourself in New Orleans and consider BBQ the food of choice. But, you are from LA, so I guess it is not all that common for you. I swear, cajuns can cook up just about anything under the sun, but it has been my experience that they absolutely can NOT BBQ correctly. I'm sure that this place does a fine job, but most cajuns I know consider pouring a jar of Kraft BBQ sauce over some burnt, grilled meat "good BBQ." |

Ate there yesterday. Went to the one in Metairie. They have some of the best chicken tenders you will ever eat. I don't believe the one on St. Charles serves them. Its an off the menu dish. |

the next time you do a crawfish boil, I'm buying a couple of lobsters for us to try in the boil. Go ahead and start the planning process. With the weather warming up, you should start getting into some soon...right??? |

I'm catchin a few sacks now.... just not real plentiful yet. I should be up to 5 or 6 sacks per run by next week... but we gonna wait til da price comes down. I'll be damned if I'm gonna bring sum home to eat while I'm gettin' paid $2.25/lb. for 'em. ![]() Da trick to da lobsters is punchin 'em with an ice pick to let da seasoning in.... otherwise dey taste like shit. I guess since dey come out dat deep water der shells are sealed up tighter than a crawfish to handle da pressure and no seasoning gets in. |
