So how's the view with your head stuck in the sand? Have you been so removed from reality that you haven't seen gun rights get eroded slowly? The antigunners take a little at a time, so it doesn't seem that bad each time. But all of the little restrictions add up. The naive think its going to be a quick, sudden action. So how can a gun owner look themselves in the mirror after voting for any politician who is antigun? |

I guess you don't care that Romney signed an assault weapon ban while he was Governor of Massachusetts. Romney is a liar like every other politician, he will say whatever it takes to get elected. In July 2004, then-Governor Romney signed legislation into law that made Massachusetts' assault weapons ban permanent and not reliant on a federal ban that expired at the end of 2004. The state issued a press release at the time, in which Romney described assault weapons as "instruments of destruction with the sole purpose of hunting down and killing people." |

Both choices of contestants are not great, it comes down to the lesser of two evils. And for the record, semi auto rifles are not assault weapons. Firearms in general are not weapons unless they have been used as such. My ex-mother-in-law's brother was murdered... Implements used were fists and a parking curb. He was suckerpunched, knocked down and had his skull crushed in against the curb. THAT curb was a weapon, but not all curbs are. Any time the term 'weapon' which has an evil connotation is used instead of firearm, it helps to fuel the antigun viewpoint. As gun owners, we shouldn't make it easier for antgunners. |

I wish we could afford to own real "assault rifles". Just for the record the second ammendement has nothing to do with your hunting right. It is in place to overthrow a corrupt government so yes I need an assault rifle if that time comes. |

I predict a Romney win. However as close as this race seems there is a small part of me that says as a country, we have not learned our lessons as well as we should have and need a larger dose. If Obama is re-elected we will though. Im fortunate enough that I have raised my kids, the only thing I have a note on is my house and after as many years as I have been paying the note is low. We have good jobs that are secure so we will be fine. I know alot of hard working folks wont be and they are the ones I worry about. Common sense should tell even the takers that we need a good economy and RICH people & business owners. When we have plenty of money we dont dwell on all that is being taken and given to the lazy azzes of the country. We all benefit. I am never surprised as I looked at the ballot today and see that 50% of the candidates are from socialist parties. The democrats fall into that catagory even if they will never admit it. Unbelievable that in the land of the free and home of the brave that the socialist movement has grown so big. We have been asleep far to long. |
