Re: The Coming American Civil War Been saying this for years. On the grand scheme of countries, the US is still a baby compared to European, Asian and African countries. Then look at our land mass vs. theirs. Break us up into 5 regions and those regions are still larger than other countries. Look at the history of wars on those continents. We have had one civil war when we were a fraction of our current size, population and diversity.
I am not being a fear-monger. But, it will happen here, eventually. It is only a matter of when and among which lines: race, political party, economics, social class, labor groups, religion or civil liberties....all have been the cause of one war or another. My opinion, we are currently most polarized along political party lines. And, we will continue towards further polarization.
