Obamacare Failing the Uninsured

At the outset, Obamacare was created to expand health coverage to
the 13 percent of eligible Americans—roughly 38 million—who are uninsured.

A new survey, however, found that most uninsured people believe the insurance
offered through Affordable Care Act is simply not affordable.

Consulting firm McKinsey and Co. found that just 27 percent of the 4 million
Obamacare enrollees were previously uninsured. That means the majority of
those who have signed up for Obamacare already had insurance, or were
kicked off their old policies and had to replace them.



Let me help you with the math - since your a DUMBAZZ - that means that
only 1 in 38 of those previously uninsured have benefited... But 100% of
all those previously insured have suffered higher costs and soon will pay
higher taxes and fees to make that possible ! ! !

And what they should be asking themselves ???


The administration has so far provided numbers only for people who have selected plans on the health exchanges. The figures don’t include how many uninsured have received coverage. They also don’t include an estimate of how many enrollees have paid for their policies – a crucial piece of information to assess how the risk pools are actually shaping up.

“That's not a data point we are really collecting in any sort of systematic way,” Gary Cohen, a top official at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), told an audience at a health policy conference in Washington on Thursday.

Americans - both Democrats and Republicans knew all this was
destined to happen over 2 years ago....

This ACA was poorly conceived and will self destruct - causing much
damage and losses to the innocent... Everything that is unfolding
was predicted as soon as the ink was dry on Obama's signature on
legislation with 100 percent Democratic support and 100 percent
Republican nay votes....

All I know is, my insurance premium has gone up (with zero added benefits mind you) as a result of Obamacare. Now how in the hell does that benefit me??

I'm paying more for the same...getting hit with a 40% tax because we sacrifice for the best coverage we can get and it's a cadillac plan with dental and vision. The lower middle class will collapse into poverty. At least they will have coverage with a deductible they can't afford..... I can't wait to see the stories about poor people that can't afford health care because their plan is unaffordable and they are denied treatment.....

Its still too early and you havnt really had to use it yet. Besides the gov aint releasing all the info yet but dont worry dean. In "a few more years" it will catch up and everyone will be screaming about how bad it is.

Those of us in health care in the trenches will still be busting our asses to keep you all alive but without all the tools and resources we used to have. And we will all be saying "told ya so".

Guess I better go make sure my Million dollar malpractice insurance is payed up so you lawyers can make a living when the ACA keeps me from being able to keep one of your peeps around because of the new regulations and you take it out on me.

By the way, how come when a health care person is accused of poor judgement or of being negligent in a duty they can be sued, lose job, lose liscense and potentially go to jail but when a Lawyer or judge gets a criminal off and he repeats his crime they dont get sued for malpractice and face consequence?

This is mind boggling, sounds like we are headed for a slump just do people can say they have health insurance, either way we will still be carrying people that don't want to work and sit on their ass and collect free shit. I mean if they can do it we can do it right? Shit pisses me off

BULLSHIT, KNOW WTF IS IN IT BEFORE VOTING ON IN. Any politicians voting on a bill without reading it or understanding it, should be charged and jailed.

I keep going back to this, but it's worth repeating. Obamacare was more than just a method to provide affordable health insurance for everyone. It was mostly about leveling the playing field for those having existing medical conditions who could not get any health insurance at all or who were stuck at a job just because it offered health insurance, and for women of child bearing age. Now, women must be covered just as men, and pre-existing conditions no long factor into your premium. Distributing the cost of these new risks evenly is the difficulty, that's why it has to done over a large number of policies for the numbers to work. The insurance casino will lose money if all the players don't show up at the blackjack table. If you want this to fail, it just might. But I can say this with certainty, no Republican would have offered anything as a substitute had it not passed and we would have seen a continuation of spiraling of health care costs and insurance premiums, unabated. So we picked our pill and for some its bitter.

I would say for most it's bitter not some.
