 Presidential Press Conference Ok, what does everyone think about this stimulus thing? I watched the Presidential Press Conference last night and if half of what he said is true we are in a world of hurt! I don't know if this 8 hundred billion dollar stimulous deal is the right thing to do, but we gotta do something... right?

A stimulus pkg. needs to be just that, not another welfare pkg. There should be nothing in the bill that will not directly stimulate the economy.
I'm all for the gobment giving me back some of MY money but don't be handing money out to those who don't pay taxes in the first place!

Re: Presidential Press Conference A tax cut is a beautiful thing in my eyes when given to those who pay taxes and those who employ people who pay taxes.
Cutting taxes for those who already don't pay taxes is nothing more than welfare disguised as a tax cut.

Re: Presidential Press Conference I used to love tax time when I patrolled the projects. It always made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside to see all the peeps running around with all the cash they just got back from the tax returns, from the taxes the rest of us paid.

I said, "yea, my taxes."
She said, "huh."
I said, "nevermind."
