Regardless of the politics, that is a pretty cool piece of history that your family has kept. Although I must admit, I got a pretty good laugh at this sentence from Edwards "I thank you for playing such a valuable role in our campaign for a responive, responsible and honest state government." |

Its hard to believe that in that election year women could not serve on juries and there were significant impediments to African Americans voting at all. It was not until the next election in 1964 when LBJ was elected by a landslide that the African American block vote became a significant factor to consider by all politicians. It was after that point when even a few yellow dog Democrats began having identity crises and traditionally blue states began turning red. |

Let's just say there's a fine line between being a lobbyist/lawyer and a politician, and the prosecutor and jury that convicted him didn't understand where it was. |

Nope, that was not him. The judges name was Robert Collins. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Frederick_Collins Jefferson was a congressman not a judge. |
