Post first piece of camo
bought him a camo jacket. had it on sale so couldnt resist. I am going to start looking for a starter gun too. single shot 410. if anyone has one they want to part with, let me know. Between me and my dad we have 20s, 16s, and 12s covered. a single shot will be a lot safer.

You can pick up a crack barrel .410 pretty cheap.
Thats what I started out with when i was 3 yrs. old.
It was my dad's gun when he was younger.
A .22 is great for getting the basics down on shooting without have to worry about recoil.

I bought my son a Rossi crackbearrel .410 from academy. You get a .22 rifle barrel with it for about $150 bucks if i remember corectly. The barrels change out fast and easy and the gun is also equipped with a safety. Its a very good gun to start em' off with.

Don't buy a Rossi. Shot gun might not be bad but my BIL bought his lil boy the 243 and it jamed on the second shot. Couldn't get the barrel to crack open. Worked on it a few days and got it opened but never could sight it in. All over the paper at 60 yards. Did some research and it seems that is very common. They are cheap and made cheap. A gun should be something you buy to pass down generations, so spend the money and get a good one.
That is the fun part of having kids. I just got my 2nd boys lifetime hunting/fishing license in yesterday. Got them both set up for life.
