I am not a deer hunter. Have not killed a deer in at least 15 years. I have never shot a buck either, just a bunch of does back in the day. Well me 14 year old has been hounding me to take him deer hunting. A friend of mine manages a 6000 acre ranch in central Florida. He said he has a few cull bucks that need to go and invited Kyle to come up for the weekend to hunt with him and his 14 year old son. Saturday morning they saw a bunch of does and small basket racks. They did see an 18 inch wide 8 point, but had to let it walk because it was only a 2.5 year old deer. Ended up taking a 6 point they have been watching for a few years that has never produced antlers better than what is in the picture. Scales said the deer was 170. My buddy said they regularly shoot mature bucks that tip the scales at 220.74435.jpeg Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk |
