 Alaska, We don't gig frogs here!!!Just a photo of a Blacky we took last weekend. Ran 65 miles up river with my 35 HP GD

That is one huge piece of Fur !!! I am intersted in the fuel consumption also. 130miles is a long way!!! Though, 30 mph divided into 130 miles is a little over 4 hours of running. @ approx. 5 gph. I would guess 20-25 gallons round trip?? Uncle J |

Re: Alaska, We don't gig frogs here!!! Sorry not to get back with you guys sooner but with work and play that is how it is.
Anyway, last weekend when we got that big blacky I ran the river and was guessing on river miles, no GPS, and did not keep track of the fuel. Yesterday I went a total of 100 miles, 50 up river and 50 back down river against a hard wind. Burned a total of 12 gal. of fuel in my 35 HP SDGD. That figured to about 1 gal / 8.3 miles. No bears but the weather was great. Duckdon |
