No big deal that 40 merc was a hell of a motor. Prob the best merc ever made. When I ran traps mine would pump mud all day long and never had a problem. All you had to do was take the tip off of the pisser and put 1/4 tube to keep the mud from cloging it up.

Back before the mud motor revolution, a 40 merc or a 25 merc was a mud motor. That was the sh!t when it came to crawfishin. Still is sometimes. Theres not an outboard that will pump mud like a mercury.

Keep an eye out in the MMT store. Once I get production running at maximum capacity I will be going worldwide with this newest product. Its better than all other motor covers for the reason it is produced with a new space age plastic, which in return will help you sleep better at night knowing your engine is protected by this outstsnding new technology.

I'm not impressed at all.....

This

attached to this

Will do that all day long over alot harder bottom. Soft bottom ain't shat with that much water over it. As long as there is no wood or other hard structure underneath I'm good to go.

Are certain year Mercurys better than others to abuse like that? Are 25s and 40s the only ones you can run like that?
