That area looks better than I can remember it....last time I attempted entry in there (about 200 yards up the channel) I made it about 40 yards into the 2ft tall hyacinths and it was game over-

Whenever my motor gets put back together we need to go run up there...it's a good time w/ lots of ground to cover 8-)

T-mac, Im there whenever you want to go. I have not scouted that area very much at all and I would like to see it before season opens.

Yea that crap gets dang thick back in there for sure. I tried to run through a few thick areas and like you said it was tough. You can skip across some of the thick stuff, but when you hit its like slamming on the brakes. Fun though...

That area just opened up after the snow and ice on the hyacinth. It was a good thing too that stuff had taken over. Two years ago it was solid. WE ended up breaking down cause we left the key on. Had to part and pull a 18' 50" Gatortrax from shoemaker to the river channel. Took six and half hours to do so. I saw a couple of my blinds were still there and river was above normal when you went. Were you able to make it in any of the fingers in Robbs lake at the caddilac blind? Where do you launch from?
