Anyone ever do any riding around the old burnt down HWY 90 bridge? Used to fish there with the pops when I was a kid and we lived in Sulphur.

I have been out there most recently in an airboat inspecting some mitigation terraces constructed in a few marsh ponds.

As i remember the mud was soft and deep in all of the pond i visited. I was using an 8-ft x 1-in dowel rod as my marsh probe and never hit bottom (was trying to find suitable material for stacking to make the terraces).

Is that all private land? I'm sure its leased so wouldn't want to trek out during season but could be fun area to ride in summer.

I live here and yes I ride out there... It is mostly oil lease land. I usually launch on the TX side of the river though... sometimes from American or the launch right down the road.

Yeah i have been out in the ponds northeast of Phoenix lake. It was some pretty marsh. You can actually see the terraces (chevrons) that i was inspecting when looking at the area on google earth.
