Re: To those of you who own your own business..
Before I opened my business I thought about a mobile hydraulic hose business. You could have all the equipment you need in a box truck and make good money!! Hydraulic lines are always bursting on heavy equipment and it stops production when they gotta wait for someone to go to town and have a new one made. And the large companies would pay good money to have someone come on site! Have a roll of each of the popular sizes of hose, and a large assortment of fittings and the press that crimps the collars. Pretty big up front investment but I bet it would work. Just a thought. Rod

Re: To those of you who own your own business..
If I ever decide to take off and start my own business it will be based off of a degree that I receive.. That way If it doesnt work I still have the option of working under someoone else.. My friends dad is a piping engineer, well.. hes a drafter, but somehow worked his way to piping engineer, and he has people offering he better pay all over. He just worked his ass off, did what he had to do, and finally its paid off.. He makes a killing and is home every night, and has weekends off. I look up to him, and hope to be that successfull one day.

He actually works in the shop and they have some big equipment. They do have several mobile guys, but I'm not sure that they build hoses in the field.
