 Bilge pumps?
Do most people have bilge pumps in there mud boats? I started with a stripped boat and I was debating on installing one.

 Re: Bilge pumps?
The biggest thing with any bilge pump it to wrap it with screen to protect it from grass. A little grass cost a pump and could cost a boat if the pump stops. While towing my boat across a bay last year my pump got grass in it and stopped , I even had a screen on it. I had to let my son drive the bigger boat and I had to bail it with a bucket. I will have a second pump this year.

 Re: Bilge pumps?
Not putting a bilge pump in a boat is like humping a whore bare back. Eventually it will come back to bite you in the ass.

Rule 2000. Will pump grass and mud. They last for decades also. Last pump you will buy for awhile.

 Re: Bilge pumps?
Naj, that pump will ,pump grass? Two years ago I had a pump burn up in the MS river and thought I was gonna die. Then I started towing the boat, When the pump burned up this year I almost lost the boat. I am all for a pump that will eat through grass.

 Re: Bilge pumps?
Get a macerator pump if its really a concern. That's what they're made for. I have one that pumps out the fish boxes on my big boat and it'll chew through ice, meat, scales, bait...any nasty shit you don't wanna have to scoop out with your hand.
