 Should have listened!
Gator Tail was a 10 week wait, Mud Buddy was a 5 week wait. Should have listened on here better and I would have waited the 10 weeks! 5 weeks was last week and they won't even give an answer on how much longer!!! Looks like a learning experience, I'll be swinging by the local shop and picking up a Pro Drive so I'll have a motor for the season !

 Re: Should have listened!
Not sure what I was thinking?? Lol! Maybe that just some of the guys we're bigger fans of the other two major companies? Maybe I was wrong in putting faith in a company at their word? Around my parts, when we say something....we mean it! Maybe 5weeks in Utah is longer than it is here?? This isn't one of the new style motors either so there should have been no issues in the build.

 Re: Should have listened!
I mostly listen to the older guys on this forum. Hell I ordered a sport H. Figured it would not be ready in time and ordered a 35 gtr.
Best choice to date. One hell of a motor. In reality the top 3 are great picks.
Enjoy your season and best of luck !

 Re: Should have listened!
Thanks for the thoughts guys, greatly appreciated! It's funny ya know, no response from the company that is being questioned here, but, other manufacturers are quick to come to the rescue. Thanks to those of you I'm talking about, you know who you are!

 Re: Should have listened!
When I ordered a motor I was told 2 weeks by the dealer 2 months later I still hadn't gotten a motor. I told em I was cancelling the order and then g lenn at mud buddy emailed me saying it was going to be done by the end of the week. I was fed up with the dealer at this point for other reasons so I cancelled the order and found 1 at another dealer. At that time there was no gator tail dealer in WI. I haven't had to deal with mudbuddy for anything CS. I like the motor and haven't had any problems with it. Maybe if you say your going to cancel the order it will light a fire under their ass but I think I saw mud buddy is 10+ weeks behind because of the sport v.

 Re: Should have listened!
My dealer has actually been very helpful. I've emailed ***** and got a response from Carlos. He wanted to know if I had ordered directly or had a dealer order for me. Once I told them I had used a dealer I was sent an email saying refer to dealer for questions. I have forwarded to me inter office emails between, *****, Dave Roberts, Carlos and Jamie trying to figure out what to tell me. Apparently Jamie says it's the dealers fault, that she has told everyone since August that performance motors were 10-12 weeks. Basically their excuse is that my dealer made up this 5 week lead time. I like how they refer you to your dealer for any issues, like I told them, the products I'm dropping 12k on say Mud Buddy on them...not the dealers name!! I think I'd be more prudent on dealing with issues on my product, rather than referring my problems onto a guy/business that is helping supply my product to the public.

 Re: Should have listened!
Can anybody give me some feedback on a 36 Pro Drive? I have a dealer in West Tennessee that says he can have me one in about a week. What do you think about the FPR and overall durability. Thanks

My hull is a 18/54 Beavertail with the pods. Would there be clearance issues when the head rotates?

 Re: Should have listened!
Ok, got the memo on the pods. Next question, I run stumpy areas. Reelfoot Lake and others, what about motor kick? The handle isn't a floater is it? Do you guys have trouble with it knocking your shoulder outta joint??

Abernathys it is! I live in Paducah. That's the closest dealer to me. The Mud Buddy was ordered at Union City Marine.

Nooo! Lol. I can give you a guys number. He is a dealer for PD. I got my 36 from him. Great dude. He lives in Humboldt. He's with Illowa Marine
Abernathys will rip you off. I avoid them at all costs.

 Re: Should have listened!
Man they priced me pretty good? Being out of state I don't have to pay sales tax so that goes a long way. I had originally priced a non reverse 36 short at $6200?

I got mine cheaper from the guy I was talking about, but I talked to him about an hour ago and sadly he is no longer a pd dealer. So I guess abernathys is your only option.

You'll have to school me on that? I don't know much about PD. I know they'd have to order it, I need short transom and all they have in stock is long.

Gen III lower unit, new design, bigger gears, better load carrying capability.
