Is a G31648VBLW good boat for SD?
Im thinking about buying a G3 boat with a 27 Pro Drive SD. Is this a good combo for the motor because of the slightly modified V on bow? Any help would be great.

How much of a difference does the transom height make? Is a 20" better than a 16"?

It's makes a huge diffrence. If the motor is a short transom, the boat needs to be a short transom.

G3 - works great with a Yamaha....
Thats what it was R & D-ed for....
If you want a certain SD get the hull that was R & D-ed to work best for it....

The motor is a short shaft. I thought as long as you have both it should be ok. How low should the prop be under the boat? I have had some guys say a 20" is better to keep the prop higher but, this didn't make sense to me.

If it's short transom motor go short transom hull. If you mix st motor and tt hull the motor will not perform.
