I just got a Minn Kota Powerdrive for the 1648 GD and am having problems figuring out how to mount it. The headlights really get in the way but I figured I'd just go behind them. But then the trolling motor really sticks out the side of the boat. I was thinking about making something like the MKA-47 mounting bracket to slide it back into the boat so it is out of the way. Anyone have some ideas about where I should mount it or a bracket that can retract, maybe welding two old plates together will do the trick? Thanks for looking

I have a powerdrive on my boat, make sure u test motor down first before mounting. It will stick off front boat just way it's designed
