Re: 37 EFI vanguard?? Circling back to my earlier post about the deafening silence from the manufacturers:
If all of your fears are true and Briggs is only marketing the EFI, which would have to be the case if Gator Tail won't be selling carbed 35s anymore....
....then wouldn't Mud Buddy be taking a giant hit on their Sport V 4000s and 4400s? And the Boss H 44 be reduced to a 37?
The move to EFI only would seem to have a tremendous negative impact going forward on the company/ies that offer modded motors from the factory. I'd think MudBuddy would be screaming bloody murder if the carbed 35s were going away.
Am I off the mark here? As far as I can tell, there is no mention whatsoever---nothing---from MB about the 37EFI.

Re: 37 EFI vanguard?? It will probably be a few years till only the efi will be offered by Briggs. It most likely be until the government shuts down the carbed motors. Till then I don't think anyone will have to worry.

Re: 37 EFI vanguard?? Is the B/S EFI a throttle body (TBI) system or Port injection? - the only one I saw I couldn't get a good look at but it looked like it used the same intake manifold

Re: 37 EFI vanguard?? Lol....so GT and PD are innovators because the product they buy from Briggs changed?
I think PD'S EFI from last year was innovative, and a nice option. Good work by them in bringing that system to the MM market.
However, im not giving any of the MM companies credit for the Briggs EFI.

Re: 37 EFI vanguard?? You should have heard my brother in law bitchin the other day about his generator not starting when we had a power outage. He's not in the best of shape after undergoing chemo, so I took his genny to my house and tore the carb off it. I should have taken a pic of it as it was hard to believe what I saw. There was a solid 1/4" of black crap in the sediment bowl from the gas going bad. And the jet was plugged solid.
I took it back to him after getting it running and told him I added stabil to the gas and shut the gas tank valve off and ran it until it ran outta gas. I told him to try to remember to do the same if he needs to use it and it probably wouldn't happen again...
I don't own any small engines with EFI so I'm wondering if EFI motors get that way from setting for long periods of time? Anyone know?
