 New to Mud Motors need some advice

Post New to Mud Motors need some advice
Hey Everyone, I'm new to the mud motor world and I am looking at getting a 27hp Go Devil surface drive and putting it on my 16/52 Lowes john boat. I know I won't have the features other makers offer but this seems like the best route for me to go. What do y'all think about pairing this motor up with that boat? I'll be using it mainly for duck hunting and fishing North Texas lakes.

If you can afford the extra cost go with the 35, you will be happier in the long run!

These motors are so small that a little bit more power equals a lot more performance. This is especially true when you are carrying any kind of load. If you can afford it go with the bigger motor.
