 SD Drive Build
I'm building my 2nd mud motor, 1st one I built is a 6.5hp chain drive with a 7.5 mud skipper prop. I have A honda 390 elec start for the 2nd build. The boat is a 12ft winya light weight fiberglass boat. The 6.5 works ok with one person but with two people not so good, 10.5 mph. Im not trying to go fast just dont want to run the motor full till just to get 10mph. I want to run a belt drive, what type of belt and pulley should I use? what size drive gear? and what size prop shaft gear? the 6.5 im running a 3/4 prop shaft, should I switch to a 1" prop shaft? Also want to run a true SD prop, what size/make? New to the site any help will be much appreciated
