Dave Peterson
Royse City Texas...By way of Mountain Home Idaho, Tacoma Washington, Ogden Utah, Bossier City Louisiana, et al.

Trying to figure out what MM would be best for me...First, really trying to figure out how many types, makes and models there are to choose from. Here's what I know (or don't know)

There's the LT and the ST...Then there's the SD...Right?

Go Devil
Mud Buddy
Gator Tail
Pro Drive
Missing any?

-- Alright guys...What the heck is the difference between all these types?

Now, I should mention that I duck hunted from a classic (LT) Go Devil for many seasons hunting Toledo Bend Res, and actually went out and bought one for my rig...Still have it. It turned out the LT just didn't push MY boat right (VERY hard to manuever when going slow(er) in the sticks and stumps) on my 1649 Jon Boat.

So I decided to get something else since my bud still resides in Louisiana and I'm in Texas and we don't hunt together as much as we used to.

So, really puttin out feelers for what ya'll think would be the best motor for the sticks, stumps and mud in the lakes of the South.

Thanks for any inputs.

Welcome to the site my man! The search option will be your way of finding out all the info needed on each different mudmotor. ST and SD are basically the same. Just to give you a head start eliminate all of them but the Gator Tail and the Pro-Drive. They are your two best mm being they're equipped with reverse. Hope this helps.
