Hello,

Names Gordon.

Inherited my dad's old 1971 Richline Challenger duck boat (aka the Duck Destroyer) and have reserected it into the duck slayer it used to be. Well, if I can shoot straight that is.

Picked up someone's handywork of a 9hp Briggs motor on some square tube framed long tail for cheap. I've got a Evinrude 9.9 for all my open water running, so for getting to and from the duck blind on a couple lakes is all that it'll need to do. Looking forward to screwing around with it this summer to get acquainted with it and using it to get to the good spots this fall.

Hi All. New Member here.

I used to duck hunt like a fanatic before wife and kids. Now the kids area little older and want me to fix up the old 14 ft extrawide all welded john boat and trailer that has been a decoration and pine needle catcher in the backyard.

I was really happy to stumble onto this forum. I have an old garage-built (by someone else) mud motor frame for a Tecumseh HM100 that Worked ok, but it kept tearing up the sintered bronze bushing on the end. The engine threw a rod so its all junk now. I'm kind thinking about building a new frame etc for a 20 year old never run 13 horse Briggs and stratton commercial engine. I am an engineer in the offshore construction industry and am pretty handy with CAD. I May design my own frame unless i can find some good plans somewhere.

I am also into building/rebuilding military semi autos. AKs, CETMEs etc.

Oh yeah.. I'm in the Houston Area.

Good to be here!!
