Who gives a shit about WLF or sheriff flotilla? If your shit is legal and not breaking any laws or observed operating in unsafe manner they cannot stop you from having a group ride. Cigarette boats do it all the time and with all do respect to fishermen, mud boat owners have every right to a navigable public waterway as you do. Suck a titty and get over it is all I can say.

...but I never said I wasn't game. You guys from La and Tx are lucky. We don't have any mud runs in Oklahoma.

Post Re: muddy gras
tony b"s post was prettymuch what happened.

the first couple of muddigras were awesome, everybody had a good time. probly 100 boats or so involved. lots of good friendships were made.
it started growing big time, and after the fourth year there was a pissing match between the nisd and the ladwf,, and that put the nail in the coffin. the fifth year we cooked for over 700 people, had people from at least 35 states, and raised over $3000.00 for St. Judes kids with cancer. there was not a single dui or boating accident that i am aware of, and the last year we had almost 300 boats play a poker hand, with 300 more boats just hanging out. i figured we raised close to $100,000.00 revenue for iberia parish that week.
after the last mudigras was officially over, CAPT ULYSEES CORMIER of the ladwf unleashed the gw's on the locals and the tourists, to show everybody who the boss is. i didn't even get in a boat till the next day, just camp hopped and had a great time.
i bitched to our DA, phil Haynie, who was no help. i think he is in prison now.

i bitched all the way to La sec of state Landreinew or whatever his name is, no help.

i bitched all the way to the col. at the ladwf, they laughed.

i got slandered by the local newspaper, they just called it a drunkfest and the ladwf capt cormier claimed that we paid off the new iberia sherrif with the money raised, despite the fact i still have the receipt from my donation to saint judes. karma is gonna have a feild day with that guy one day.

so, if anybody else wants to have a big throwdown, i say go for it!!! but you need to move it around because they probly won't hammer you the first year or two, but they will eventually.

and yea, the bassfags gave us a bunch of problems too, they would call capt cormier and tell a bunch of lies, get him all riled up and he would send out the gw's to stomp us. I would call him and tell him exactly what we were doing, and made sure we were not breaking any laws, and i thought we had his blessing. lol

now i will tell you, i see my LOCAL gw's all the time, we get along fine, and i am proud of that. they are good people.
what you run into at these events is the gastapo crews from out of district who are already pissed that they have to play politics and you know how that one will turn out.

i'm probly gonna get slammed shortly for posting this thread, because they all read mmt, but since somebody asked, i am just passing along the truth, nothing more.

I, along with a few friends put on muddigras, so if somebody else tells u differant they are bsing you.

anyway, good luck!! i'm through with it.

They would need to get every one involved sheriff wlaf everybody need to follow ruled and the law as for bass fisherman 2 days out of 365 days won't hurt the bass spawn....... Hurricanes do more damage the burnt 2 cycle oil out of motors do damage shitty water from up north do more damage to the spawn then riding and playing around. Instead of the bass fishermen fussin why don't they take a kid ride in the boat or fish. Or a wounded vet !!!!!!
