 Re: Are my speeds right?
A small hook will suck the transom down and disrupt the water to the prop. Use your gas to find the trimmed out sweet spot. It sounds like you are trimmed too high and not chopping enough water.
you drink the kool aid, id rather drink the whiskey and raise hell!!!!

 Re: Are my speeds right?
Gps with my buddies 10yr old Garmin at 34.7 Cell phone showed 35.4 don't believe either one. Boat is a pop can lite 320 Lb. Alumacraft riveted 1648 Jon. Motor is a MB BD 4500 with 38/47 gears, Hammer prop, Y Crossover, turning 4470RPM. Boat, motor, battery, gas and me 940Lbs. I would guess 26-29 mph would be closer to accurate.

 Re: Are my speeds right?
So I hammered out one of the couple hooks at the transom and went for a test run. I was able to hit 33.5 and thats was at 4600 rpms. I could hold 31 all day. Got a couple more smaller hooks to the sides to straighten out once I figure out how to get to em. Not enough hammer swingin room under the hunt deck
