Hunt deck is done. I showed up at Js house around 7 this mornin. By 9:30 he was finished. It came out good. Solid as a rock and looks good. I need to paint it to match the rest of the boat and re-wire a couple things. We almost burned down his house though. Somehow a little bit of gas spilled in the back of the boat. As he finished up, he was welding up some old bolt holes and the gas ignited. We had a lil bit of excitement for a minute. I thought it was gonna melt the back of my boat off. We put it out and went on with buisness like nothin happened, cause dats how we roll. All in all, job well done J. Im prolly gonna put up some pics later. Those goin to the mud run will see it this weekend. It might be the first skiff with a huntdeck.

i bet a skiff wit a hunt deck looks pretty cool tho.

His huntdeck came out good. Though, we had 6' flames in the stern of his boat. Let's just say that we lucked up. His boat looked like a mini version of the Horizon.

Did you do this one like the last one you built? Or did you add a foot or so to the length of the boat?

Cool thats what I thought. I was curious how you braced it if you were adding it on. Last one looked good. Hopefully tenpoint will get some pics up so we can see what a skiff with a hunt deck looks like.

tenpoint i gotta tell ya i wasnt sure about a hunt deck on a skiff but it looks pretty sweet....does it effect ur performance any? and where u found dat lil rubber piece that u have screwed into da hunt deck for ur wires and gas line to come in da boat?

What did you use to make the camo paint job?

Looks good. I see you cut it in half at some point to add some length and now the hunt deck. I guess thats a good thing about aluminum. You can cut an reweld chit.

I painted the whole boat inside and out this morning. I think it came out good. The camo looks great and helps break up the splice and all the dents in the boat. I dont have any pics yet but at least it all matches now. I used the "Camo" spray paint from wal mart and some plastic greenery for the stencil. Total paint job cost about $30 bucks. Im sure it wont last but the previous paint job was professionally blasted and painted and it lasted about 6 months. I cant keep paint on a boat. This is just a temporary "Mud Run" paint job. I think Uncle J took a pic of it, maybe he will post it.
