Post Relocating PD trim switch to grab bar
I know a few of yall have done it..... What's involved? There is a red, blue, yellow black wire running into the original switch. Anyone got any pics on how they did it? Thanks.

if it has relays it's not necessary to upsize the wires. there wont be any load on the switch.

No relays on the PD trim switch...use the bigger wires.

FWIW, it's a old style winch trim. Where would I find a good switch?

Get a switch from pd...or you can use a rocker switch off of an atv winch...they should be the same (I think tractor supply carries them). I believe they are rated for 75 amps. GT use to use relays, but had too many problems with them and changed over to these rocker switches.

Well, I put a warn switch to the grab bar with the warn relay. 2 wires from the relay going to the winch and two wires going to the battery. When I do it this way, I cannot use the original winch trim switch (starts smoking). But as soon as I disconnect the original wires from the winch, it works flawlessly with the new switch on the grab bar....

I guess it's an either/or deal where I cannot use both?????

BTW, it's kick ass having it mounted on the grab bar!
