well, i finally replaced my longtail after 7 seasons of use. picked up a 35 MB Sport, put it on my 1652mt Lowe, mod-v. now, these numbers may change a bit, once i get my replacement tiny tach, as the one i bought doesn't work right, so i don't have rpm info. and once the motor breaks in. as of sunday, i have put 5 hours on it. all deep water speeds. 1 guy(340 lbs) - 27.4 2 guys (590 lbs): 25-26 mph 3 guys (740 lbs): 24-25 mph, averaged right around 24.6 2 guys and 80 lb lab (670 lbs): seen 24-26. I was kind of surprised by the top end, thought i would have seen 28-29, but with three guys, it jumps up on plane and hauls pretty good. I'm pretty happy with those speeds. especially considering this is not on a "mudboat". |

Ditto on what was said above, and actually given the "load" you are carrying those speeds are actually quite normal and to be expected. |
