Guys, looking to order some Hydro Turf for the boat. Planning on buying the sheets from Gatortrax. Does anyone have pictures of their PD with the Duck Camo or plain Brown. Camo looks cool but not sure if it would look right considering the PD's have a lot of brown and black on em. If anyone has some pictures, sure would like to see the difference between the two on the PD paint.

Had mine for about 6 months. Dads had his for over a year. The Camo turf still looks the same as when he bought it. Got it through Gator Trax.

A lot of people on here use the grey seconds from hydro turf, they're cheaper.

Not a PD but here is the 'GT Brown'- (its really OD green no matter what Kent says). And after a little mud, both the camo, green, and grey look about the same.

3M makes a spray adhesive remover for their spray adhesives. Heard it works well, but have not tried it myself.

I had to remove it to do some repairs and it was a brutal bich! Scraped off turf, then tried thinner, acetone, 3M remover, lost hope so I sand blasted then used a DA to sand off the tough spots. Removeing the turf and cleaning up the mess took 10X longer than fixing the boat! Really nice stuff, but I'll never use it myself. The abuse I put a hull through often requires me to get to the bottom of the boat from the inside and thats to much work!! Just my opinion!

I've never seen the stuff in person, but here's a thought for those who don't want to ever have to do the adhesive thing -

Could you pop rivet it or put a few screws and some aluminum trim strips to hold it down, or are the sheets too flimsy and need to be adhesived?

DMD, they are a bit flimsy esp. when its hot outside. But i think that may work for some folks. ;)

Talking from experience if you have any chance you will need to take it up then DON'T put it down.

The easiest way to get it up is by using a recip saw with one of the scrapper blades. Start at an edge and have someone pull gently while you do the power scrapping.

Why not attach turff to floor out of the baot, then pop rivet it down. Then all you have to do is drill rivet out ,lift floor and turff out to fix bottom of boat.
