as much as new people ask about " which motor should i get " how about a locked sticky for each brand that tells the features of the motor. then a common remark about how these features work under some contitions. like if you run wide open shallow water you may not need reverse. if you are not picking up decoys by your self you may not need netural. and vise versa. this may cut down on some of the " i have a ?????? motor and thats why its the best". all the posts from new people end up in a bunch $hit talkin because one person has a better motor because its the one they bought than the other, and back and fourth. they are all great motors. you will get good cs from them all.(manufactures, maybe not the dealer)they all have there problems. some are simple w/o options and very solid. some are more advanced with more usable options, just as solid, but people need to understand the trade off is more parts means more possible parts to break. as ive read there does seem to be conditions ie heavy veg., stumps, logs, speed and load and maybe speed vs. load that some of the motors favor. this maybe to subjective to comment on unless its the conclusion that people agree on to post. |

I agree with Jordy. I have been guilty of not using the search. But i do think it will cut down on the same post over and over. |

That's a good idea, . . . . but, the whole purpose of a web forum like MMT is for people to get involved and ask questions. I know we get the same questions over and over again but we all had those same questions when we got started. You ask questions, you learn, you pass on what you learn. It's a cycle. Learning is what MMT is all about, and the lessons are both learned and taught by all of us here on a daily basis. |
