 Scavager/bog hogg Motors
I have been looking for a 14hp longtail, but none of the big boys mfg them. One thoughts on Scavanger or bog Hogg or any thoughts on a lower hp that will work hard on a 14ft. We jump a lot of stumps and small beaver dams so I need the motor perform under those conditions.
Thanks!

 Re: Scavager/bog hogg Motors
you will need a boat soon if thats what you are going to do with it. as for the bog hog its not very well resepted here. some have had them and say they are not very well made. on the scavenger, ive owner one and there are a couple here. they are fairly releable, ugly, very simple and the prop has its good and bad points. it very inefficent but it will roll off under water obstructions well and wear well. there no other options for props than back to scavenger. if you are looking at a 14hp scavenger a 9hp gd or mb will probally work as well. how wide is the 14 footer you have? you may be able to hang more hp than 14 on it.

 Re: Scavager/bog hogg Motors
MarshMonster.net offers a 13hp Honda, or a 16hp B&S that would work very well.
