 surface drive question

Post surface drive question
a guy here at work has a 16ft v bottom aluminum boat and was thinking about a 35 or so surface drive, would this even work worth a damn. thanks for any input.

Work - Yes assuming a width of over 40" bottom

Ideal - not hardly, as the ribs and Semi-V will both rob it of speed
and mud performance with any kind of load...

But fun for a while untill the MM hammers the hull....
