I'm looking to build a kayak rack for my fourwheeler and wanted to see if any of y'all have one. The ones I've seen are carried on top of the fourwheeler. I'd like to see ones that you pull behind and ones that you carry on top. I used the search but didn't find anything. If y'all use one, please post pics. Thanks! |

I have seen those top racks on some WMAs and IMO that would be the way to go. Build a quality quick detach top rack unless you got to get under something somewhere. A pull behind gets muddy quick..... |

NA, I posted a couple of the pictures, of the utility trailers that I have to get you started. 10 years ago I put a cab on my 4 wheeler and built a trailer to carry my double man ladder stand, climbing stands and 12 duck boat. The first thing is do you want the trailer to be the same width and stay in the same rut as the 4 wheeler. I did so, if the 4 wheeler will fit between the trees then the trailer will, so I ended up with a trailer that 22” by 48” inside the bed and 4 feet wide and 10 feet long. I put the duck boat on top about 4 feet over hang in front, 4 feet on the trailer and 4 feet overhang in the rear. The second trailer was to carry my larger tree stands, firewood and stuff. It’s 40” by 80” inside the bed and 5 ft wide and 10 feet long. I put do-nut spare tires on it. And I wanted it to be nose down to carry the treestand feet off the ground. I don’t have any pictures carrying the boat, just deer. If you need more detail, let me know. To keep the mud off the trailer, get a 18 wheeler mud flap, cut it half long way, tie wrap it the back rack, trim it a couple of inches above the ground, cut a hole to let exhaust flow out. The ones on my 4 wheeler are to short. |

Do you hunt in Maringouin? That looks very familiar. |
