Mud Buddy trim / tilt pictures added
Is there a way to tell which trim / tilt unit is on my motor by just looking at it?

The old MB trims sucked, but to upgrade (mercury trim) its a hefty 900plus. You could get 2-3 thompsons for that. Weigh it out............. I went through 2 trims on my 45 in 3 years.... They sucked until the Merc's came out....

The Thompson replaced the Baer unit, which really sucked. The problem with it is the fact that it isn't sealed and water can get in it somewhat. That's what usually kills em is the saltwater effects. Not sayin they're bullet proof units away from the saltwater, but the coastal areas seem to have more issues with them.
