 POPPED MY CHERRY
Ran my mudmotor for the first time today, first time running a mudmotor ever.
Bought this mudmotor in February or so this year, a used 18hp GDLT. Paired it up with a decent 1436 Lowe rivited boat I had (good bottom on the boat). Did the usual things so far, spark plugs, lower seals, synthetic oil.
With two guys it ran 14mph (cell phone gps) in deep water. With three guys it ran 12 in the same water. Not bad for a lil boat and a motor bought new in 1992.
Found some big lily pads/grass and ran through it like nothing was there. Need to find some mud now to see what it really can do.
Probably gonna do exhaust on it and call it a day with it. Still getting used to driving it but its alot of fun. Definately need a grab bar! Thanks to all who post on here, really learned alot Lookinup

 Re: POPPED MY CHERRY
LSGO (LOTTA $HIT GOING ON) I have been in K9 tranining with my new partner since April. Very stressful and hard to find free time with the new dog. And when I saw I needed new lower seals, I didnt want to hurt anything and run it without replacing them. They were not bad to change and I have a piece of mind knowing im not gonna bust anything up. This boat will do till I get the money for a copperhead or maybe something even bigger! Lookinup
