Anyone attempt it yet on the PD? I've been thinking about having a different set of gears made up and going with a 1.3-1 ratio or so. We've got plenty of qualified machine shops in the area so I'm considering trying it out. Hell it might take the PD into a new realm of speed considering some of the ratios others are running. |

See where PD gets there gears cut and see if they can make you another ratio. It seems that it can be done but the price is probably pretty rediculous due to lack of a market at this time. I know the average price for a ring and pinion for a truck differential is in the neighborhood of $175-$225. |

dont know how much truth is behind it but thats ONE reason I heard they went to the larger gear boxes on the new lower units so that in the future they could try out different gears and see if could produce any better speed or any better results in the mud |
