Re: I hate to paint.. My other gd held up real good...I doubt ill seal it tho. I like the flat look even though its harder to keep clean. I have bottomland planned for the future anyway. The local mudbuddy dealer saw my last boat and thought that carport job was factory paint.

I got a quote from BFC Marine who builds Gator Trax boats. To repaint and camo the whole boat is $650. It's. 44 incn bottom hull. A new boat that size is $583. Cost more for used boats because of the extra prep. My hull is 2003 and is still in real good shape on the outside. $325 to camo just the outside. I bought it used 2 years ago and want to get it looking new again. There paint really holds on though. Also getting Hydro turf on all the flat surfaces. They will subtract $125 from the paint job if hydro turf is installed because there will be less painting.

Re: I hate to paint.. Kem400 is the base on my boat but didn't have enough to shoot the motor so I just hit it with the rattle cans. Cleaned it good, primed the metal then shot the paint. The khaki colored camo krylon matched the kem paint almost perfect.

Re: I hate to paint.. yep foaming decreaser. hit the bad spots with a brush. did it a couple times, primed and paint. the first boat i painted this all worried me to death.....wanting to do everything perfect. this aint no '57 chevy you're spraying. i got some dings and scratches and felt instant relief... cause it's gonna happen
