 Outboard after duck season?
Anyone run an outboard on their mud hull after hunting season is over? I’m thinking about selling my 25 Evinrude that’s laying in the garage and getting a 40 to 60 horse. What would be the biggest I could throw on a 16.5/48?

 Re: Outboard after duck season?
You could run a 60 on it if you want. I run a modded 40 and it will run 46 all day long with me, the dog, and a couple of fishin poles in it. I've seen 47-48 several times, but for all practical purposes it's a 45-46 mph rig. The biggest I would go is a 4 stroke 70, but that's just my opinion.
