Thinking about getting some from http://www.bluewaterled.com/. Anybody have LED interior lights? What color do you recommend? I know the white will be brightest, but will attract more bugs. What about red or amber?

I have the red LED's from BlueWaterLED. I find that they aren't as bright as I would have liked, but they do not attract bugs or bother the eyes when you turn them on at night. I am very pleased with the lights.

No clue how to take a picture of them to show you how they light up the boat. I have them mounted under the catwalk gunnel in the boat and they really help to see when you are moving around in the dark

i've been using these in white for a few seasons now. i've been impressed with them. i just ordered some red to replace one section that i don't want too much light in.

they're really simple to wire.

I bought a 15' strip from cjhondaboy. Easy to install with 3M tape already on it. They put out tons of light.

In installed a set from xtremeled.com. I put a photo in my review: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=14177&start=0&hilit=phowler+2066

A couple more photos and additional info. is posted at: http://www.thehulltruth.com/boating-for ... skiff.html

Very easy to install. Rob at Xtreme will configure the lights any way you want them with different lengths of lights and different lengths of wire between them, to your specifications. All the wire is marine grade, all connections are sealed and the whole system is submersible.

The lights come with adhesive backing. Just prep the surface with lacquer thinner or acetone, peel and stick, and wire them to a switch with a 3amp fuse. The adhesive is very tough. So far, mine have stayed in place in temps from 15 to 105 degrees farenheit and have withstood repeated encounters with the pressure washer.

I like the red. 18" led strips, 24" apart seemed to give me the amount of illumination I needed for messing with decoys and fishing tackle. Unfortunately, you can't tell the color of your lures with the red lighting. If you fish at night, you may want to consider installing a couple of white light strips on a separate switch, or keep a pen light in your tacklebox.

I have lime green ones from seaworthy inside for the floor and white inside my boxes. They are plenty bright to see what is going on but not so bright that they will blind u while u r driving.

In my dads non-mud boat we installed LED's under the gunnel. Wired them to a two position switch. First step is just enough light to see, second one turns the rest of the LED's on and it is like daylight. Works great.

What kind of current draw do these have? since these mud motors come with such small chargin systems wonder if there would be any problems, especially when you add a stereo, runnin lights, guages, etc etc etc and wouldn't amber or yellow be best for light without attractin bugs?
