Guess about six to seven hundred in one small hole in between some islands no need to look any where else cause when the daylight breaks it will be over as soon it starts

We shot two blue wings here in Bienville Parish on Saturday. Only saw one big group, and no other good reports on the lake.

Anyone hunted the manchac/prairie area?

The extreme wet conditions and late spring on the prairies caused a generally delayed hatch. Some of the broods have been flying for less than a week. 2000 miles to migrate means that they need some muscle strength to make the journey. BWT are up 41% (according to the CWS and USFWS report) at almost 9 million birds. http://www.ducks.org/hunting/migration/ ... cast/page2

None of us are old enough to have seen production like this and we will likely not live long enough to see it again. I hunted in Acadia Parish and we had a nice hunt Sat. Sunday it was just too foggy. But we still got it done, it just took longer.

Bottom line on teal is, they are gonna be late. I'm headed out next weekend as well. As long as I'm able, I'll still be there regardless.

They are on their way. two days ago 4000+ flew through whitefish point on lake superior (they pay a fella to count them up there). Yesterday a buddy of mine saw a couple of thousand grouped up and heading south by my place which is north western lower peninsula of Michigan. Today another cold north wind blowing 15-25 overnight lows of upper 30's. good luck, they will be gone before our opener except for a few.
